Termrim Construction has handed over Aigburth Lodge, in Oadby near Leicester, to Methodist Homes following the comprehensive restoration and refurbishment of the building.

The 35-week design and build contract saw Methodist Homes’ existing building converted into 5 one and two bedroom apartments offering independent living, with 24-hour care and support, set within mature landscaped grounds.

All the apartments are for sale and include fully fitted and integrated kitchens, bathrooms and en-suites that offer level access shower rooms.

The building is located in a planning conservation area and so careful restoration was needed to ensure key features of the property, which dates back to 1908, were preserved and restored, including joinery details, stained glass windows and intricate lead work.

Termrim has been able to deliver this level of conservation whilst enhancing and upgrading elements of the building to meet modern building standards.

The project saw Aigburth Lodge undergo a complete refurbishment to create apartments offering independent living.
