Site progress at Carleton Road, Skipton

Published: 8th November 2021

Works are progressing well on our current scheme at Carleton Road, Skipton for Yorkshire Housing, which includes the construction of a new 13 metre bridge spanning over Eller Beck creating a new main entrance to the development.

Construction of the bridge required permanent sheet piling to depths of over 10 metres and driven tubular steel piles, to depths of over 15 metres.

The bridge and adjacent Carlow surface water attenuation tank are being constructed by our sub-contractor Eric Wright Civil Engineering and are scheduled to be completed in Spring 2022. Following completion, the bridge will be adopted by North Yorkshire County Council.

Our development at Skipton has required significant new infrastructure works, all of which are being undertaken within our JCT design and build contract.

The overall project will deliver 109 new mixed tenure homes for market sales, shared ownership and affordable rent.

Properties range from one to five-bedroom homes, with a number of phased handovers of properties during 2022.
